<\/p>\nA total of 310 companies from the nautical sector will gather from April 29 to May 2 at Palma\u2019s Moll Vell for a new edition of the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), one of the sector\u2019s leading international platforms and a key event in consolidating the Balearic Islands as a strategic nautical hub in the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n

The Minister for Enterprise, Self-Employment and Energy, Alejandro S\u00e1enz de San Pedro, highlighted that \u201cthe event is a reflection of the sector in Spain, and more specifically in the Balearic Islands, not so much focused on boat building, but on all subsequent processes, from repair and maintenance to distribution, marinas, services, and the entire auxiliary industry organized around yachting.\u201d He also noted that \u201cthe show and the sector have grown hand in hand, with a collaboration that has not only turned PIBS into an event that grows sustainably each year, with a 90% return rate of participating companies, but has also strengthened a strategic business sector for the island economy.\u201d<\/p>\n
In this context, the Balearic Marine Cluster reinforces its role as a key agent in structuring the Balearic nautical ecosystem, promoting initiatives that contribute to the international projection and strategic development of the sector.<\/p>\n
The official presentation was attended by the president of the Port Authority, Javier Sanz; the Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates, Alfons G\u00f3mez; the manager of ADRBalears, Silvia Delgado; the president of BYBA, Marta Iglesias; the president of the Balearic Marine Cluster, Guillermo Garc\u00eda; the president of AENIB, Jaume Vaquer; and the CEO of IPM Group, Patrick Reyn\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

During the event, Guillermo Garc\u00eda presented the new edition of the Mediterranean Superyacht Forum, which will take place on April 28 and 29 at the Palma Auditorium as a prelude to the Palma International Boat Show. Organised by the Balearic Marine Cluster with the support of ADRBalears and in collaboration with The Superyacht Group, the event will bring together industry leaders, captains and key companies from the global superyacht ecosystem, consolidating its role as a benchmark platform for strategic debate, innovation and business opportunities.<\/p>\n
The Palma International Boat Show will feature 310 exhibitors and nearly 600 vessels \u2014275 in the water\u2014 standing out as the largest exhibition of large sailing yachts in Europe. The show will be structured into three main areas: Shipyards & Equipment and Superyacht Village at Moll Vell, and the Superyacht New Build Hub, located at Marina Port de Mallorca, consolidating its role as a key meeting point for the new build sector.<\/p>\n
