An event celebrating joint sector efforts and marking the start of a 2026 full of strategic projects
Balearic Marine Cluster held its traditional Christmas Cup today at the Balearic Ports Authority, an event that brought together member companies and sector professionals to close the year and share the challenges and opportunities that will shape 2026.
During the event, attendees had the opportunity to exchange views, strengthen relationships and toast to a new year filled with strategic projects for the Balearic nautical industry. The gathering highlighted the growth of the sector and the importance of continuing to promote collaboration between companies, public administrations and key players within the nautical ecosystem.
As is tradition, the Cluster also used the occasion to present and distribute the 2026 Nautical Calendar. This essential reference tool brings together the main trade fairs, professional events and key dates for the sector in the coming year. In its 2026 edition, the calendar includes the winning drawings from the children’s competition involving families of member companies, an initiative that received an excellent response and a high level of participation.
The Cluster’s President, Guillermo García, thanked all the companies for attending the Christmas Cup. After briefly reviewing the projects and initiatives promoted throughout the year, he highlighted the role of the Cluster as a key support for the sector and announced that 2026 will bring many new projects. These new initiatives will complement the existing strategic lines, such as internationalisation, competitiveness, training and employment.
The Christmas Cup reinforces the sense of community that defines the Balearic Marine Cluster and celebrates the joint efforts made throughout the year to position the Balearic Islands as one of the most relevant nautical hubs in the Mediterranean.
