WHO ARE WE?
In 2018, the leading nautical companies in the Balearic Islands came together under the name Balearic Yacht Destination with the aim of showcasing to the world the unique resources, natural beauty, and the outstanding professionals and nautical businesses residing on our islands.
The following year, in 2019, Balearic Marine Cluster was established, sharing associates and the objective of positioning the Balearic Islands as one of the world’s premier nautical destinations.
In 2020, Balearic Marine Cluster took the initiative to integrate and relaunch the Balearic Yacht Destination brand, thereby joining forces to maintain the leadership of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera as an international nautical hub.
In this way, the best companies in the nautical sector, along with the most prominent professionals, jointly promote our islands as an international reference point with significant competitive strength.
With more than 700 nautical companies and a workforce of over 4,000 highly skilled professionals, the Balearic Islands generate revenues exceeding 750 million euros.
The goal of BYD is to present an image of the Balearic Islands that goes beyond their paradisiacal beaches, exquisite cuisine, or cultural richness.
