The first edition of the event, promoted by Balearic Marine Cluster and Port Adriano within the framework of World Boating Day, brought together nautical activities, sea experiences, training, gastronomy and family-friendly proposals to bring the sector closer to the public.

The Balearic Boating Festival, the main closing event of Balearic Boating Day, held an open day for the public this Saturday in Port Adriano, establishing itself as a new initiative to bring boating and the sea closer to the Balearic community through open, accessible experiences designed for all audiences.

Promoted by Balearic Marine Cluster within the framework of World Boating Day, the initiative gathered activities throughout the week across different islands of the archipelago, culminating in a central event in Port Adriano with strong participation from families, young people and visitors interested in discovering the nautical world from the inside.

Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed a wide range of activities linked to the sea and the nautical industry, including boat trips, sailing experiences, jet skis, paddle surf, diving activities, workshops and children’s entertainment, as well as visits to boats and dedicated spaces to discover training and employment opportunities within the sector.

One of the highlights of the event was the historic sailing vessel Rafael Verdera, which helped bring traditional maritime heritage closer to visitors, alongside the different experiences organised by companies and collaborating entities from the Balearic nautical sector.

The event also featured a gastronomy offering linked to the sea thanks to the participation of Port Adriano establishments, reinforcing the Mediterranean and family-oriented character of the initiative.

Balearic Marine Cluster highly valued this first edition, especially highlighting the involvement of companies, associations, ports, public administrations and industry professionals who collaborated altruistically to make the festival possible.

The initiative received support from entities such as AENIB, the Balearic Marinas Association, AECIB, the Balearic Islands Charter Companies Association, the Calvià Town Hall and the Government of the Balearic Islands, as well as the participation of numerous companies, schools and professionals from the nautical sector who actively contributed to the development of the activities.

During the event, training centres, organisations linked to traditional maritime crafts such as mestres d’aixa and Barques de Fusta, charter companies, jet ski operators and various nautical schools collaborated, including the sailing, diving and paddle surf school of Port Adriano. Initiatives such as La Náutica del Futuro by Estela Shipping and collaborators such as Proyecto Hispania also participated, all contributing to bringing the sea, nautical culture and the sector’s opportunities closer to new audiences.

The objective of the Balearic Boating Festival is to help break down barriers and perceptions surrounding boating, showing that the sea can be an accessible, approachable and open space for everyone, regardless of age or previous experience.

Beyond its recreational and experiential component, the festival also served to highlight the strategic importance of the nautical industry in the Balearic Islands, one of the main nautical hubs in the Mediterranean thanks to its infrastructure, business network, professional opportunities and innovation capacity.

Following the success of this first edition, the organisation is already working towards consolidating the Balearic Boating Festival as an annual reference event to continue bringing the sea and nautical culture closer to the Balearic community.
