FEASIBILITY STUDY OF AIR CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN PALMA AND NICE

PROJECT INFORMATION:

The lack of air connectivity between Palma and Nice during the months of October to May means that Management companies choose shipyards located in the south of France, Italy or the Iberian Peninsula to carry out their repair and maintenance projects.

This lack of connectivity during the peak months for the ship repair and maintenance industry has created difficulties for the sector and threatens its competitiveness compared to other regions.

The feasibility analysis carried out by the Balearic Marine Cluster seeks to explore the possibility of maintaining constant air connectivity between the two cities throughout the year.

The report will cover the main magnitudes of the sector, its strategic characterisation and the identification of the main challenges. In addition, work will be done on the construction of a database containing a unique list of nautical companies segmented according to their activity and position in the value chain.
