Searebbel, V2Group and TrueWorld showcase their technological solutions at the first investment forum promoted by the Government of the Balearic Islands
Balearic Marine Cluster accompanied three of its member companies—Searebbel, V2Group and TrueWorld—at the first edition of Palma Tech Bay, an investment forum organised by ADR Balears, an agency of the Government of the Balearic Islands, in collaboration with Keiretsu Forum and with the participation of the Palma City Council.
The event began with an institutional welcome by Silvia Delgado, representing ADR Balears; Javier Sanz, President of the Balearic Ports Authority; and Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, Minister for Business, Self-Employed Workers and Energy of the Government of the Balearic Islands. The opening highlighted the institutional commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and the creation of new opportunities for local companies.
During the presentation session, the three Cluster member companies showcased high-impact technological proposals. Searebbel presented a plug & play solution that allows a universal autopilot to be installed on recreational boats in just 15 minutes, opening up a mass market segment that until now lacked viable alternatives. V2Group, meanwhile, showcased its large-format additive manufacturing technology applied to the nautical and industrial sectors, capable of producing moulds and technical parts without tooling, using recyclable materials and reducing production times by up to 50%. Finally, TrueWorld, a scientific spin-off, presented its environmental digital twin platform and real-time predictive models, combining satellite data, IoT sensors and proprietary algorithms to monitor oceans, territories and cities, with a strong focus on sustainability, environmental intelligence and technological innovation.
Following the presentations, Alfons Gómez, Director General for Industry and Industrial Estates, presented the award to the startup best rated by investors.
The forum also included a roundtable discussion on the keys to successful startup investment, featuring leading investors Jaime Biel (Faraday Venture Partners), Javier Darriba (Encomenda Capital Partners), Paco Illueca (GVC Gaesco / Next Tier Ventures) and Ramon Blanco (Bewater Funds). The session was moderated by Miquel Costa (Keiretsu Forum).
For Balearic Marine Cluster, the participation of Searebbel, V2Group and TrueWorld is a clear demonstration of the high level of innovation and technological capability within the Balearic nautical sector, as well as its integration into strategic entrepreneurship and investment ecosystems. The Cluster reiterates its commitment to continuing to facilitate visibility, growth and international projection opportunities for its member companies.
