Balearic Marine Cluster Closes a Chapter and Sets Its 2025 Roadmap

The Cluster marks the end of a cycle with the departure of Toni Salom after six years of leadership and unveils new projects and strategies to continue driving the nautical sector forward in 2025.

On Monday, Balearic Marine Cluster held its General Assembly at the Balearic Port Authority headquarters, a key meeting where the achievements of 2024 were reviewed, and the strategic plan for 2025 was presented. However, the most significant moment of the day was the transition in the Cluster’s presidency. After a period marked by Toni Salom’s leadership, the presidency has now passed to Guillermo García, effective February 17.

After six years leading the organization, Toni Salom stepped down, leaving behind a legacy of growth and consolidation of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the Cluster’s position within the industry, fostering innovation, internationalization, and collaboration among companies.

Guillermo García, New President of Balearic Marine Cluster

During the Assembly, Guillermo García, Marketing Director at Evolution Yacht Agents, was officially appointed as the new President of the Cluster. With extensive experience in the sector and a focus on international expansion and innovation, García takes on the challenge of continuing the Cluster’s growth and strengthening its impact on the nautical industry.

“It is an honor to take on the presidency of Balearic Marine Cluster and continue the excellent work carried out by Toni Salom. My commitment is to keep driving the development of the nautical sector, enhance cooperation among businesses, and solidify our position as a benchmark in the industry,” García stated in his speech following his appointment.

For his part, Toni Salom expressed his gratitude to the members and collaborators for their support over the years, highlighting the growth of the Cluster and the collective efforts that have solidified its role in the sector. He also emphasized the importance of the Cluster for small businesses, providing them with guidance and support in an increasingly competitive environment.

Beyond the presidential transition, the General Assembly also served to bid farewell and thank the outgoing Board Members, whose dedication and commitment have been crucial in establishing the Cluster as a strategic player in the Balearic nautical sector.
