Balearic Marine Cluster is taking part these days in BOOT Düsseldorf, one of the leading international trade fairs for the nautical industry, held from 17 to 25 January and bringing together thousands of companies, professionals and institutions from around the world

The cluster’s presence in Düsseldorf responds to its strategy of strengthening the international projection of the Balearic nautical sector, acting as an interlocutor and facilitator between the business community, public institutions and the main representatives of the nautical industry at European level.

During the fair, Balearic Marine Cluster has developed an agenda of meetings and encounters with sector companies and key players from the international nautical landscape, with the aim of reinforcing dialogue, sharing perspectives and conveying the positioning and capabilities of the Balearic nautical sector in a global context.

Within this framework, the cluster has promoted and facilitated strategic meetings between representatives of the Government of the Balearic Islands and leading figures from the international nautical industry, contributing to positioning the Balearic Islands as a reference hub within the sector.

Among these meetings are those promoted by Balearic Marine Cluster between the Minister for Enterprise, Self-Employed Workers and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, the Director General for Industry and Industrial Estates, Alfons Gómez, and the Director of ADR Balears, Silvia Delgado, with Petros Michelidakis, Director of BOOT Düsseldorf, and Philip Easthill, Secretary General of European Boating Industry.

These meetings have made it possible to present the Balearic nautical sector and its industrial ecosystem to the main international stakeholders in the industry, strengthening awareness of its productive capacity, its specialisation in nautical services and its potential in areas such as innovation and sustainability.

Balearic Marine Cluster highlights the importance of this type of action in connecting the Balearic Islands with the main decision-making and representative centres of the nautical industry, fostering strategic relationships that contribute to the sector’s competitiveness and positioning in international markets.

Participation in BOOT Düsseldorf therefore consolidates Balearic Marine Cluster’s role as a platform connecting the public and private sectors, as a facilitator of business internationalisation and as a key agent in promoting and defending the interests of the Balearic nautical sector in the main international forums.

In this context, Balearic Marine Cluster would like to thank The Village and BYBA for their collaboration and the framework provided, which makes the cluster’s presence at the fair possible and allows associated companies the opportunity to take part in BOOT Düsseldorf, access a top-level international environment and carry out international projection and market development activities within one of the world’s leading nautical industry events.
