DESCRIPTION AND GENERAL INFORMATION 


Recipients: The following entities may obtain the status of beneficiaries, provided that they are legally validly constituted, and have an establishment or branch in Spain: legal persons under private law with their own legal personality, social economy entities defined by the social economy law itself, or groups of the above provided that they are owned by, at least one SME, start-up or social economy entity.

Eligible activities:Activities in the plastics sector that reduce the consumption of raw materials, reduce waste generation and/or improve waste management, contributing substantially to the transition to a circular economy in any of the following categories: research and development (reduction of the number of components attached to plastic packaging,  improvement of the separation of components by type of plastic polymers, changes towards the use of a single polymer, or improvement of plastic waste management, etc.), digitalization to innovate in terms of processes (new models that favor the efficiency of the use of resources, return services of used products, or use of 3d printing technology,  etc.), increasing the level of environmental protection (investments that reduce the generation of waste, waste, virgin raw material, or the substitution of raw materials for others with a lower environmental impact, etc.), and improving waste management (investments in systems and infrastructures that improve the classification of plastic waste by polymers,  or that promote preparation for reuse).

Eligible period: From the submission of the application to the end of the justification period

Aid intensity: This call is endowed with an amount of 97,500,000 euros. The aid granted within the framework of this call will take the form of a subsidy and will have a maximum total amount of 10,000,000 euros per project and a minimum amount of 100,000 euros per project. Aid intensity is understood as the part of the eligible costs covered by the amount of the aid, determining different intensities according to the type of project and size of the company, as indicated below: research and development projects, up to 50% of the eligible costs; digitalisation projects to innovate in terms of processes and organisation, up to 50% of the eligible costs; projects to increase the level of environmental protection of the beneficiary entity, up to 60% of the eligible costs; for projects to improve waste management from third parties, up to 55% of the eligible costs
