BALEARIC MARINE CLUSTER COMPETITIVENESS INDEX
PROJECT INFORMATION:
The Balearic Marine Cluster Competitiveness Index facilitates the continuous improvement of participating companies, enabling them to achieve higher levels of competitiveness and business excellence in the field of ship repair and maintenance.
This project focuses specifically on companies dedicated to ship repair and maintenance operating in the Balearic Islands.
OBJECTIVES:
The Balearic Marine Cluster Competitiveness Index seeks to support companies in their quest for business excellence through continuous improvement of their processes.
METHODOLOGY:
The Competitiveness Index is obtained through an audit process carried out by the Balearic Marine Cluster team. During this audit, documentary evidence is sought to support the information provided by the participating companies, thus guaranteeing the veracity of the data collected.
Distribution of the Index:
The Balearic Marine Cluster Competitiveness Index is based on 8 key aspects for the competitiveness of ship repair and maintenance companies.
These aspects include:
- Human Resources
- Digitalisation
- Sustainability
- Quality
- Security
- Strategy
- New Markets and Innovation
Each key aspect has specific checkpoints and a maximum score assigned to it.
Result:
The result of the assessment of each participating company is expressed as a percentage, ranging from 0 to 100%. This score represents the sum of all the points obtained during the audit process in relation to the 8 key aspects of competitiveness. The higher the percentage, the higher the level of competitiveness and business excellence achieved by the assessed company.
