STRATEGIC STUDY ON THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF LARGE REFIT PROJECTS

PROJECT INFORMATION:

Palma has before it an unprecedented opportunity to become the international reference centre for carrying out large-scale naval repair and maintenance projects.

The “Strategic Study of Large Naval Repair and Maintenance Projects” project aims to position Palma as an international benchmark centre for carrying out large-scale naval repair and maintenance projects.

This project seeks to analyse and evaluate the current situation of the sector in Palma, in order to establish a line of reference to achieve this joint objective.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To analyse the current state of the ship repair and maintenance sector in Palma.
  • To identify the weaknesses, threats, strengths and opportunities in the sector in order to develop an effective strategy.
  • To define a roadmap for the future development of the sector in Palma.
  • To position Palma as an international reference centre for carrying out large REFIT projects.
  • Promote the economic growth and development of the nautical sector.
  • To boost the international projection of the Balearic nautical sector.

PHASES OF THE PROJECT:

  • Selection of Interest Groups to carry out the study.
  • Conducting personal interviews with each of the participants in the study.
  • Drafting of an aggregate report and drawing of conclusions.
  • Presentation of the conclusions of the report to each group of experts.
  • Drafting of conclusions report agreed with each group.
