The show will take place from April 30 to May 3 in Palma and will coincide with the second edition of The Balearic Superyacht Forum, organized by the cluster.
Balearic Marine Cluster will once again be present at the Palma International Boat Show, which, for the first time, exceeds 300 exhibitors thanks to the expansion of the new area located at Club de Mar.
The showwill feature a total of 304 participating companies showcasing the latest innovations in boats, equipment, and services within the nautical sector. Among them will be the Balearic Marine Cluster, which will have its own stand in the Superyachts area (SY 16 and SY 17), where more than 100 of its members will be represented.
Guillermo García, president of BMC, took the opportunity to announce the second edition of The Balearic Superyacht Forum, which will be held on April 29 and 30 in Palma.
“This forum is not an isolated event. On the contrary, it is part of a common strategy that arises from the direct collaboration between the Balearic Marine Cluster and the Palma International Boat Show, a fair that has, by its own right, become one of the most relevant nautical events in the Mediterranean,” he pointed out.
“Our goal from the beginning has been to add value. The Balearic Superyacht Forum does not come to compete, but to complement and strengthen the fair’s offering. It is a proposal that enriches the PIBS by providing a space for thought, debate, and innovation, focused exclusively on the superyacht sector and the global challenges this segment faces. Thanks to this alliance, Palma becomes—during the same week—the epicenter of international conversation about the future of nautical. And that is, precisely, one of our main objectives: that this forum serves as an international window, opening the door to new relationships, new projects, and new opportunities for businesses, institutions, and professionals in the Balearic Islands,” García added.
Finally, the president of BMC wanted to explain that “this year, we are taking a step forward: we are consolidating the format, expanding the content, adding more expert voices, and creating new spaces for participation. We will have conferences, roundtables, and hackathons addressing diverse topics such as sustainability, technology, the evolution of clients, the role of the Mediterranean in the map of large yachts, and energy transition.”
The PIBS presentation, organized by the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADRBalears) from the Ministry of Business, Employment, and Energy, and BYBA (Balearic Yacht Brokers Association), will take place from April 30 to May 3 in Palma. It was also attended by the Minister of Business, Employment, and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro; the president of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Javier Sanz; the director general of Industry and Industrial Zones, Alfons Gómez; the president of the Association of Nautical Companies of the Balearic Islands, Jaume Vaquer; the manager of Club de Mar, José Luis Arrom; the manager of ADR Balears, Silvia Delgado; and Arne Ploc from BYBA.
