BALEARIC NAUTICAL SECTORAL REPORT: ANALYSIS AND STRATEGIC CHARACTERISATION
PROJECT INFORMATION:
The main objective of this study is to obtain a detailed overview of the business reality surrounding the various nautical-related businesses in the Balearic Islands.
The report will cover the main magnitudes of the sector, its strategic characterisation and the identification of the main challenges. In addition, work will be carried out on the construction of a database containing a unique list of nautical companies segmented according to their activity and position in the value chain.
OBJECTIVES:
- To obtain a comprehensive understanding of the value chain of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands.
- To identify strategic segments.
- To dimension the nautical cluster in as much detail as possible.
METHODOLOGY:
- Inputs: Lists and databases from various sources will be used, including commercial registers, lists of previous companies, information from associations and searches in the SABI application. In addition, interviews will be conducted with companies to obtain additional information.
- Mapping process: Data will be collected from all of the above sources and integrated into a single database. Existing data will be updated or corrected and the size of enterprises without recent information in the commercial register will be estimated.
- Outputs: The result will be an integrated database of the nautical sector, with detailed company classifications.
