Through its Technical Office, BMC will assist member companies in accessing, applying for, and justifying grants, thereby promoting the goal of improving the sector’s competitiveness

BMC to unveil the full service on January 29 during an informational session on grants for nautical sector companies, featuring several Directors General from the Balearic Government

Balearic Marine Cluster (BMC) has launched a new service this January through its Technical Office: a grant management and application service for member companies.

This service aims to simplify access to grants and subsidies for member companies, boosting their competitive edge and, in turn, that of the entire sector.

Pedro Suasi, BMC’s General Manager, stated, “The launch of this service addresses a recurring need from our member companies, who often see the potential to apply for these grants but lack the time or resources to follow through. That’s why, at Balearic Marine Cluster, whose main goal is to improve the competitiveness of the Balearic nautical sector and its companies, we have decided to offer this service to help interested businesses access the available funds.”

Suasi further announced that on Wednesday, January 29, BMC has organized an informational session on grants available for companies in the nautical sector. This event, taking place from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Port Center of the Port Authority (Autoritat Portuària), will feature the presence of Toni Salom, President of BMC; Javier Sanz, President of APB; Toni Ginard, Director of APB; Ingrid de la Fuente, Director General of Industry and Industrial Zones; José Antonio Caldés, Director General of Business, Self-Employed, and Trade; Omar Beidas, Head of Innovation Service at the DG of Innovation; Silvia Delgado, Managing Director of the Regional Development Agency (ADR); and Mari Luz Moreno, Director of the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB).

First Available Grant:
Balearic Marine Cluster has also informed its members about the launch of this service, indicating that the first available grant, now open for application, is the Internationalization Projects Grant, which closes on January 30.

If approved, this grant provides up to €20,000 in funding for actions aimed at the internationalization of companies, including:

  • Participation in international trade fairs.
  • Participation in trade missions.
  • Implementation of a marketing plan.
  • Development of market research studies.

Balearic Marine Cluster is confident that this new service will help member companies secure funds to grow and enhance their position within the nautical sector.
