The cluster strengthens its internationalization strategy with a prominent presence at an exclusive event organized alongside AETIB during the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
Balearic Marine Cluster has positioned the Balearic Islands as a premium yachting destination at an exclusive event held in collaboration with AETIB, gathering nearly 30 U.S. stakeholders from the yachting industry.
This event marked a key milestone in the cluster’s participation at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, one of the most important events in the international yachting calendar, held from March 19 to 23 in Florida. It also represents BMC’s second commercial mission outside of Europe.
During the presentation, Pedro Suasi, Managing Director of the cluster, shared with international attendees a strategic vision of the Balearic Islands as the leading superyacht destination in the Mediterranean. His remarks, delivered within the context of an exclusive event alongside AETIB, Essentially Mallorca, Ibiza Luxury Destination, and the Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca, sparked great interest among attendees—many of whom expressed interest in future collaborations and in attending the upcoming Balearic Superyacht Forum.
“Our presence in Palm Beach has not only helped strengthen strategic relationships with key U.S. yachting players but also reinforced the Balearic Islands’ positioning as a hub of excellence for large yachts,” said Pedro Suasi.
“I especially want to thank the team at AETIB and the Tourism Office in Florida for organizing these types of events, which are essential for the yachting sector. The American market is of great importance to us, and promoting our islands jointly is a tremendous opportunity we must continue to seize,” he added.
During the show, Balearic Marine Cluster also held meetings with companies, brokers, and superyacht owners as part of its ongoing strategy to attract international investment, encourage the arrival of large vessels, and promote the excellence of the local yachting industry.
This initiative is part of the cluster’s wider plan to strengthen the global presence of the Balearic yachting sector, creating business opportunities and international visibility for its more than 100 member companies.
The strong interest shown by U.S. stakeholders in the upcoming Balearic Superyacht Forum, to be held this April in Palma, confirms the forum’s growing status as a strategic event for the industry. The cluster continues working to ensure that this second edition becomes a must-attend meeting point for the global yachting sector.
