Call for grants for projects to strengthen the value chain of equipment needed for the transition to a net-zero economy

DESCRIPTION AND GENERAL INFORMATION 

Recipients: Any legal persons, public or private, legally and validly constituted (including groups) may be beneficiaries of the aid of this call, provided that they carry out the activity on which they are based and meet the following requirements established in the order of bases: comply with the obligations set out in the general law on subsidies and prove that they are not subject to any of its prohibitions,  prove that it is not in crisis, accept the terms established in the concession resolution, and carry out the project in accordance with the objectives of the application for aid, which is binding.

Eligible activities:

The following will have the character of eligible activities: the production of equipment relevant to the transition to a net-zero economy, i.e. those indicated below, as well as the production of essential components designed and used as a direct input for the production of such equipment:

• Batteries: manufacturing and assembly projects for batteries, battery cells and battery packs
• Solar panels: solar panel manufacturing and assembly projects
• Wind turbines: wind turbine manufacturing and assembly projects
• Heat pumps: heat pump manufacturing and assembly projects
• Electrolyzers: electrolyzer manufacturing and assembly projects

Eligible period: After the date of submission of the application for the aid up to 48 months from the date of resolution of the grant.

Aid intensity:The budget allocation for the granting of the aid established in this call is €750,000,000, with 2 incentive programmes: the 1st endowed with €50,000,000, and the 2nd of the remaining €700,000,000. likewise, the intensity of the aid will be 15% of the eligible expenses, with the budget of eligible items per action for each incentive programme being:

• Incentive program 1: more than €1,000,000 and less than €30,000,000
• Incentive program 2: equal to or greater than €30,000,000
