The event focused on competitiveness, innovation and growth of the Balearic nautical sector through access to public funding

Balearic Marine Cluster organised today an information session focused on presenting the main grants and public funding available for 2026, aimed at companies in the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands. The event took place at the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca and brought together representatives from several Directorates General of the Government of the Balearic Islands, as well as companies and professionals from the sector.

The objective of the session was to bring information on the different public support schemes closer to the business community, providing a clear and practical overview of existing opportunities in key areas such as industrial modernisation, internationalisation, innovation, training and employment, energy efficiency and financial instruments.

During the morning session, the different funding lines were presented by the Directorate General for Industry and Industrial Estates, the Directorate General for Enterprise, Self-Employed Workers and Trade, the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB), and the Balearic Islands Regional Development Agency.

The event concluded with an overview of the Balearic Marine Cluster Grants and Funding Service, launched in 2025 with the aim of supporting companies in the sector in the identification, application and follow-up of public funding opportunities. This initiative responds to a need identified among many SMEs in the nautical sector, which often lack the time or resources to manage these processes.

Balearic Marine Cluster highlights the importance of this type of initiative as a tool to enhance the competitiveness of the Balearic nautical sector, encourage company participation in public support programmes and strengthen the sector’s presence within the economic and industrial development policies of the Balearic Islands.

The event forms part of the cluster’s ongoing role as an intermediary between public administrations and companies, with the aim of generating real opportunities for growth, innovation and consolidation of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands.
