Balearic Flavours & Connections transformed the spaces of Balearic Yacht Destination, Astilleros de Mallorca, Ocibar and IPM-IMG Group into a meeting point for industry professionals during the Monaco Yacht Show.

The Balearic marine industry once again became a meeting point for international professionals during the Monaco Yacht Show with the celebration of Balearic Flavours & Connections, an event organised as part of Balearic Yacht Destination’s participation in one of the leading international shows dedicated to the superyacht sector.

The event began at 5:00 pm and took place across the spaces of Balearic Yacht Destination, Astilleros de Mallorca, Ocibar and IPM-IMG Group, creating a broad meeting point where professionals, companies and partners from different areas of the industry were able to enjoy an afternoon of networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Balearic gastronomy played a leading role throughout the event and served as a way to bring the identity and character of the Balearic Islands closer to the international yachting community present in Monaco.

The event was held with the collaboration of Consell de Mallorca and Fundació Turisme Responsable de Mallorca, reinforcing the destination-promotion dimension of an initiative that combines the international projection of the marine business sector with the promotion of Mallorca’s values, culture and gastronomy.

A shared space to strengthen international connections

Bringing the four spaces together made it possible to expand the reach of the event while also highlighting the strong culture of collaboration within the Balearic marine ecosystem.

Throughout the afternoon, Balearic Flavours & Connections facilitated contact between representatives of Balearic companies and professionals from different international markets, in an environment designed to encourage new business relationships and strengthen existing connections.

The initiative forms part of the actions being carried out by Balearic Marine Cluster, together with Consell de Mallorca and Fundació Turisme Responsable de Mallorca, during the Monaco Yacht Show under the Balearic Yacht Destination brand. Its aim is to raise the international profile of the Islands’ marine sector and present Mallorca as a destination that combines infrastructure, specialised services, technical expertise and a distinctive Mediterranean identity.

Gastronomy and identity as part of destination promotion

Beyond its business dimension, the event also showcased another side of the Balearic presence in Monaco. Gastronomy became one of the central elements of the day, giving attendees an introduction to local products and culture.

In this way, Balearic Flavours & Connections combines the promotion of the marine industry’s capabilities with the promotion of the destination itself, strengthening the connection between yachting, territory, gastronomy and the Mediterranean lifestyle.

Balearic Yacht Destination continues its activity today at the Monaco Yacht Show, where Balearic Marine Cluster and Consell de Mallorca are representing the Balearic marine sector alongside a delegation of companies from the Islands.
