BMC has organised, together with the Chemical Cluster of the Balearic Islands, BIOIB, the Ecological Transition Cluster of the Balearic Islands, Turistec and ClusterEdu, a conference on tax incentives for innovation activities

BMC has participated this Tuesday, October 8, in a conference on tax incentives for innovation activities organized together with the Chemical Cluster of the Balearic Islands, BIOIB, the Ecological Transition Cluster of the Balearic Islands, Turistec and ClusterEdu.

With the participation of nearly 30 companies from different sectors, the conference addressed how, through investing in innovation, a series of advantages can be obtained that can be taken advantage of by companies as tax credits or incentives.

Pedro Suasi, manager of BMC, who attended on behalf of the Cluster, described the event as “very positive”. “This event, in addition to strengthening collaboration between the 5 clusters, has helped us to understand a little better how companies that want to innovate have many facilities to do so. We encourage all companies in the nautical sector of the Balearic Islands to continue investing in innovation, since it is a branch that allows you to improve and grow and that also gives you a direct benefit”.

Suasi also highlighted that “one of the challenges that we have ahead of us, not only the Cluster, but the companies in the sector themselves and also the administrations, is that the beneficiaries of these R&D&I tax deductions do not almost always fall on very large projects. We must be able to find much more room for more accessible projects with a lower capacity. This type of project, with smaller budgets, must be able to benefit in a more effective way”.

Balearic Marine Cluster believes that this type of information sessions, with real success stories, allow us to continue opening doors to our associated companies when it comes to continuing to grow. On this occasion, attendees at the session were able to learn about the procedure for obtaining social security bonuses and how HR departments should be restructured thanks to real examples explained by two companies associated with BMC, such as the Wireless DNA group and Astilleros de Mallorca.
