The reference event in the international nautical sector, Palma International Boat Show, celebrates its 40th anniversary. An edition filled with novelties and events for professionals and nautical enthusiasts, such as the celebration of the first edition of The Balearic Superyacht Forum.

Balearic Marine Cluster and The Superyacht Group, with the support of the IDI, organize the first international superyacht forum in the Balearic Islands, which will take place on April 24 and 25, coinciding with the Palma International Boat Show, scheduled from April 25 to 28, 2024.

Both events were presented at the international tourism fair FITUR, with the presence of the counselor of Business, Employment, and Energy of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Alejandro ‘Sáenz de San Pedro; the Tourism counselor of the Consell de Mallorca, Marcial Rodríguez; the managing director of the Institute of Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI), Silvia Delgado; and the president of the Balearic Marine Cluster, Toni Salom.

The Balearic Superyacht Forum will bring together professionals, experts, and enthusiasts of superyachts in a dynamic two-day event, where the main aspects determining the future of the Balearic nautical sector will be discussed.

The Forum consists of a comprehensive program that includes a wide variety of sessions, presentations, and interactive activities focused on aspects such as innovation, sustainability, the evolution of Palma’s nautical maintenance and repair industry, as well as the opportunities and challenges facing the Balearic Islands as an international nautical tourism destination. The program and congress content are already available on the website:, where tickets can also be purchased.

The event will take place at the Auditorium of Palma de Mallorca, located in the heart of the Port of Palma and just a short 10-minute walk from the Palma International Boat Show, offering attendees the opportunity to participate in both activities.

Palma International Boat Show will celebrate its 40th edition the same week, once again marking the beginning of the Mediterranean nautical season.

To commemorate this milestone, the organization of the Palma nautical fair, together with exhibitors and visitors, is preparing a series of events, as well as actions that aim to pave the way for the future of the fair, such as the initiation of the sustainable event certification. Thus, the carbon footprint of the fair, the generated waste, and the consumption of materials and water will be measured. In addition, a catalog of sustainability recommendations for suppliers, exhibitors, and visitors will be developed. The goal is to improve the indicators obtained in the coming editions and certify the PIBS as a sustainable event.
