Balearic Marine Cluster promotes Balearic Boating Day as a local adaptation to bring the nautical sector closer to society

Within the framework of the Palma International Boat Show, the Balearic Marine Cluster stand welcomed representatives from World Boating Day, an international initiative that aims to bring the nautical industry closer to society through open, accessible and educational experiences across different destinations worldwide.
This visit reinforces the connection between the Balearic nautical ecosystem and this global initiative, aligning the Balearic Islands with an international movement that promotes a more open, accessible and citizen-connected industry.
In this context, Balearic Marine Cluster is working on the development of Balearic Boating Day, the local adaptation of World Boating Day, with the aim of bringing this philosophy to the Balearic territory and creating a day in which companies, marinas, shipyards and training centers open their doors to the public.
Balearic Boating Day will make it possible to showcase the reality of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands from the inside, highlighting its professional opportunities, its economic impact and the diversity of profiles that make it up, especially to young people, students and the general public.
The visit to the cluster’s stand has served to reinforce an ongoing line of work, consolidate alignment with the international initiative and share a common vision to maximize the impact of Balearic Boating Day within the global calendar.
From Balearic Marine Cluster, the importance of this type of initiative is highlighted as a way to foster vocations, improve the perception of the sector and strengthen its integration with society, consolidating the Balearic Islands not only as an international nautical hub, but also as a benchmark in the openness and outreach of the industry.
