CALL INFORMATION: The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) has launched the first call under the INNOVAE Programme, aimed at funding innovative energy-saving and energy-efficiency projects that reduce final energy consumption through the implementation of the best available technologies. The call has a total budget of €115 million and includes four subprogrammes: sustainable mobility, the industrial sector, deep renovation of existing tertiary-sector buildings to achieve zero-emission building status, and the replacement of refrigeration generators. This grant may be of interest to companies in the marine industry developing innovative energy-efficiency projects in shipyards, workshops, industrial facilities, repair and maintenance processes, manufacturing, transformation, industrial refrigeration systems, sustainable mobility or energy services.

- Innovative sustainable mobility projects: €30,000,000.
- Innovative industrial-sector projects: €30,000,000.
- Deep renovation of tertiary-sector buildings to achieve zero-emission building status: €30,000,000.
- Replacement of refrigeration generators: €25,000,000.

- Investment costs:
- Equipment, materials, services and auxiliary installations directly linked to the energy-efficiency improvement.
- Assembly, transport, commissioning, quality controls and testing.
- Civil works, generally limited to 20% of the eligible investment.
- Preparation of the implementation project, studies, tests and required trials.
- Technical management and health and safety coordination.
- Preliminary assessments and energy audits linked to the project.
- Application management, justification management and audit reports, within the applicable limits.
- Industrial subprogramme:
- Innovative measures to improve industrial process technology.
- Minimum reduction in final energy consumption of 20%.
- Minimum eligible project cost of €100,000.
- Maximum grant of €2,000,000 per project.
- Maximum implementation period of 24 months from notification of the grant award decision.
- General maximum aid intensity:
- Large enterprises: up to 30% of eligible costs.
- Medium-sized enterprises: up to 40% of eligible costs.
- Small enterprises: up to 50% of eligible costs.
- These percentages may be increased in certain assisted areas in accordance with applicable European regulations.
- Incentive effect requirement:
- The project must not begin before the grant application is submitted.
- The first binding commitment to purchase equipment or undertake the investment must be made after the application has been submitted.
- Justification deadline: Three months from the end of the maximum period granted for project implementation.
